Tania von Allmen aka Gadget Sister, is a woman who admires brilliant design, anticipated uses, and having “the right thing at the right time” with opportunities to Save The Day. Why Gadget Sister? Let’s just say that certain other terms might present a trademark risk and we are so not going there. Plus, GadgetGoddess was too much, GadgetGoomba too self deprecating, and pretty much everything else was picked over like a Macy’s white sale.
Much better than that, however, the term sister communicates two very important concepts about this site and the Gadget Sister store — GadgetSister.com. First, sister communicates the feminine focus of the gadgets we will be celebrating. We want not only cool gee-whiz technology that makes life a little better, but we want it to have some style (and be available in a variety of colors to match other key accessories.) Second, sister communicates a peer to peer relationship of equals. Sort of a techno-geek sorority, if you will. I learn from you and sometimes you learn from me and together we find out about stuff we wouldn’t know about otherwise. We are women and we collaborate, cooperate, and communicate.
